Endowment Fund
The Happy Valley Elementary School Endowment Fund was started in November 1990 by parents who wished to establish a legacy of enrichment programs for the School. The Board of Directors of the Happy Valley Elementary School District administers the Fund.
The initial goal was to reach $300,000 before distributions could be made to the school. That goal was reached after 10 years of fundraising, donations and capital appreciation. Since then, the Fund has distributed approximately
$200,000 to the school. The goal of the Fund is to distribute up to 4% of the balance each year to help pay for aides and enrichment programs.
We have established a goal of growing the fund to $4M. At this level, the contribution to the school would approximate $160,000 per year vs. the current level of approximately $35,000. This will ensure the future of these programs and virtually eliminate the need for fundraising.
In order to maintain this fund for current and future generations, please consider a donation to the Endowment Fund.
